Guest Lecture for the students of MBA was organized on 7 Feb, 2015. Ms. Monika Koshy-Founder Nurture Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. from Bangalore comes all the way to share her experiences. She discussed her entrepreneurship journey with the Students and shared her practical experiences to be a successful entrepreneur. She Shared the Strategies with students which are key to be a Successful entrepreneur. Students enjoyed the interactive & learning session with Ms. Monika Koshy.

GNA UNIVERSITY conducted FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Faculty Development Program on “Pattern Recognition and Machine learning” was organized by Faculty of Computational Science, GNA University at its campus on Feb 7, 2015. Mr. Gurdeep Singh – Pro Chancellor, GNA University & CEO GNA Duraparts Ltd and Dr. Prem Kumar inaugurated the session and laid emphasis in their speech on equipping the teachers with the updated knowledge so that every teacher can give to the student what is actually required in the industry to improve the employability of the students. The session was on invitational basis which was attended by over 100 faculty members from different educational institutes around doaba region. Ms. Monika Koshy, Founder - Nurture Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. 
Banglore started with first technical session on “An Entrepreneurial Journey” and gave emphasis on reducing the industry academia gap. She stressed that to bridge the gap not only sharing of knowledge is enough but the interaction more with the industry should enhance through application of knowledge. During the second technical session delivered on ‘Indexing to Intelligence’ by resource person Dr. Shailesh Kumar – Researcher at Google Inc. Hyderabad shared that critical thinking and problem solving approach is the key to master any technical issues. He advised that teachers should avoid telling the students what they need to do and they should enhance innovative & analytical thinking among the students. Dr S K Singla Director GNA- IMT, Mr Sunil Sarad Sr GM (Corporate Affairs) and Mr Bhupinder Singh- Head HR & Admin also graced the occasion.

4th PTC_ATC award ceremony at GNA University

Parametric Technology Corporation University USA certificate award ceremony of GNA University (ATC) was organized on 5th February, 2015 at institute campus. The function was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Umesh Munjal, Managing Director Highway Industry (Hero Group), S. Gursharan Singh MD, GNA Group, S Gurdeep Singh, Pro Chancellor GNA University & CEO GNA Duraparts Ltd, Mr. Kamal Batra, Director PTC Academic Program, Mr. Saroop Chand, MD, Adrotec Information System Pvt Ltd . Mr. Munjal congratulated Mr.Seehra for running such a good quality university in this region. He added that the industry backed institutes helps in bridging down the gap between industry requirements and education provided to students hence making them employable. He also stressed on the importance of CAD after B. Tech and diploma in mechanical engineering for getting good placements in industry sector. 
Mr. Munjal symbolized the knowledge of present technology for securing excellent positions in the industry and said that there is no age bar limitation for innovations. Mr Saroop Chand who is using CAD for last 30 years shared his experiences that how CAD knowledge helped him in his achievements and in understanding the current modern technology.  He gave best wishes to GNA University for their placement in top MNC’s. They also presented the PTC Proficiency online test awards to students who secured top 15 positions in test and six top academic excellence awards. Mr. Kamal, Mr. C. R. Tripathy ATC Head and Dr S. K. Singla Director GNA-IMT distributed the PTC university certificates to the students. MR Sunil Sarad, Sr. General Manager (Corporate Affairs) and Mr Bhupinder Singh, Head HR & Admin also graced the occasion with their presence. GNA University is the only institute in this region which conducts such award ceremony every year and this time 300 students attended the event.

Delivering value in Real world

Mr. Sandeep Toor- CE, Hawkins Cookers Ltd delivered guest Lecture to the Students of Faculty of Engineering and Technology. He shared his views on topic delivering value in Real world and discussed live examples with the students to enhance the value students have interactive session with Mr. Sandeep Toor and put forward their queries on the same. The Session gave learning experience to the students with live industry related examples. Students enjoyed and learned from the experience of the guest speaker.





Digital Poster Making Competition

Digital Poster Making Competition was organized by Faculty of Communication & Media on the Occasion of Republic Day. 50 Students of B.SC AMT Participated in the Event. Among the Participants Team of Kartik Arora & Ranveer Singh won the 1st Prize. Team of Aanchal & Anshu Aggarwal won the 2nd Prize & Ayub Khan won the 3rd Prize.
