Story Telling Competition

The Literati Society of GU organized Story Telling Competition. The event was focused on boosting up the morale and to shape the talent of students. Students from various streams exhibited their talent by sharing their original stories with the help of PowerPoint. Tanvir Bhatti (BBA), Harjot Kaur (B.Tech CSE) and Kanika Hellan (B.Com) secured first, second and third position respectively. Mr. Sunil Sarad, Registrar GU, appreciated the performances and encouraged the students by sharing a motivational story. 

Mathematics Quiz

The Mathematics Society at GNA University organized ‘Mathematics Quiz’. There were 30 teams (120 students) which partook in the competition. Each team consisted of 4 students.10 teams were selected from the First Round which was a written test based on MCQ’s and 5 teams qualified the Second Round and participated in the Final Round. The Winners are:

 FIRST PRIZE: Deepak Bhandari , Deepak Kumar, Anand Kumar Yadav ,Rohit Kumar Tiwari from B.Tech ME Sem IV

SECOND PRIZE: Preetpal Singh, Shubham Verma, Parth Dhiman, Sukhjeet Kaur from B.Tech CE/ECE Sem IV

THIRD PRIZE: Kiran Rai, Bhupinder, Harminder Kaur, Satinder Kaur Gill from BBA  Sem II

“Workshop on Networking” @ GNA University

The Faculty of Computational Science, GNA University, Phagwara organized a “Workshop on Networking”. The talk was delivered by trainers from Click labs, Mohali. The lecture was attended by students of master’s and bachelor’s level. The speaker was honored by Dr. Prem Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Umesh Sehgal, Program Manager, Faculty of  Computational Science and other members of Training and Placement Division of the Department. The workshop was quite knowledgeable and students got to know how to configure routers and switches virtually.

2 Days National Level workshop cum Championship

101 students of various programs under the Faculty of Computational Sciences of GNA University and IT Department of GNA-IMT participated in "2 Days National Level workshop cum Championship" in collaboration with Cognizance-An Annual technical symposium of IIT Roorkee and Finland Labs. 8 students got selected for final round at IIT Roorkee from 18-20 March 2016. It was a great experience for the students as it created awareness among them on how to develop various android apps such as calculator, camera etc.

Workshop on Brainstorming for ICICI Appathon

The students from Faculty of Computational Science, GNA University, CT Institute of Technology, St. Soldier Group of Institutions, Doaba College participated in the workshop conducted by Mr. Mani Madhukar from IBM India Pvt. Ltd in GNA University. Students learned from audio/video sessions about startups, idea generation and the stakes involved for creating a startup. Students showed interest about the competition and were enthusiastic about submission of ideas.

Workshop on Explore your Creativity

The Faculty of Film, TV & Media, GNA University organized a workshop ‘Explore your Creativity’ for the students of B.Sc., M.Sc. and CPAM. Mr. Tejinder Singh (Freelance Artist) was the resource person. He created a human shape character and taught students the techniques of installation and the ways they can create and develop any character out of their imagination and creativity
